Time spent on WordPress was short, but sweet. I’ve become bored of the templates and inability to customize my blog as much as I would like. Therefore, I am moving!

Please keep reading & enjoy!
The Great Gatsby trailer is out! One of my longtime favorite novels is being turned into a movie – and I am actually super excited for it. Christmas ’12!
Good morning (afternoon) Saturday! You would think I’d have more time to write during the summer than when I was in school, but I guess I’m just being lazy. This morning consisted of coffee and lounging in my bed (don’t I do this every day?), and this afternoon will consist of reading while laying out in the sunshine. I had to throw this picture of Florence, Italy into the mix because this week marked my one year return to America from that magical city. What I would give for some homemade Ribollita, pear raviolis, and a sunset overlooking the city. If I save $25 a day I can go back within the next few years, right?
There is never a day when I don’t want to venture into the city. New York offers so many different stores to shop at, restaurants to eat in, and people to see. I shopped in my two favorite stores: Brandy Melville and Bloomingdales, and bought everything from a casual, long, black cotton skirt to a fun, bright, blue Aqua dress. I’m still lusting over these Dolce Vita animal print loafers, though. A size 9 would have forced me to wear layers upon layers of socks.
After endlessly shopping around Soho we sipped on margaritas and ate quesadillas at Mexicn Radio. Quite a relaxing and delightful Saturday night. Much different from the nights I’m used to back at school…
I know I am meant to end up in this city. The question still remains when?
We did it! Congratulations to Miami University’s class of 2012. It was a super hectic weekend filled with emotional breakdowns and trying to grasp the meaning of graduation. Saying goodbye to my best friends of the past four years was one of the hardest things I’ve had to in a long time. It was actually devastating. I sound so pathetic. I have finally unpacked my belongings and am trying to adjust to life back at home. As my housemates from our group chat know, home means our house at school and it’s taking a bit of effort to adjust to life back at our original homes.
[Left: Short Story, Right: Red Lights Ahead…Where?]
I’d have to say the bliss of getting my nails done is pretty comparable to my love of going out to lunch. What a harsh life I live, huh? Got my nails done today along with four of my lovely housemates at the salon called Cleopatra. Elegant. OPI’s Short Story on my fingers and OPI’s Red Lights Ahead…Where? on my toes. Getting all dolled up for graduation. Which – btw – is on Saturday. Yikes.
Wow can this rain GO AWAY. It’s down pouring, thundering, lightening, and sirens are going off. I refuse to let this weather stop me from going out to dinner with a few of my housemates and then to Tini Tuesday. Excuse me rain but I will just put on my Burberry rain boots (which last much longer than J.Crew’s) and go dance in the rain. That is all.
There is a Clinique counter in one of the buildings at my school and sometimes I just like to go buy myself something from it. Especially when Clinique offers one of their gifts with purchase – I can’t resist. Aside from buying the classic eye makeup remover that I am obsessed with, I also purchased this lipgloss in Air Kiss. It’s shear and lasts all day and has SPF 15. It’s now my new favorite and I highly recommend purchasing one!
Well, I’m in the last week. Finals begin tomorrow and I only have one exam so my life has been everything besides school work. I’ve been enjoying time with my best friends and their closets (the shirt I’m in above is Victoria’s), spending time at my favorite building on campus – the Farmer School of Business, cooking with my housemates (Brie/Honey/Apple crostini), and experimenting with new, bright nail polish colors. Hope your Sunday was just as relaxing as mine!
[Customizable phone cases from Etsy]
I’m feeling a bit bored with my J.Crew iPhone case that every other person owns. You know, the one with the leopard print? Not to mention head phones don’t even really fit in the case. I’ve been on a quest for the perfect iPhone case for what seems like forever now. Yes, I just got my phone in January so forever translates into 3 months, but you get the picture.
I’ve decided I love the customizable phone cases you can buy through Etsy shops. The are fun, original, and you don’t have to worry that anyone else will have the same gold & white polka dot case as you (kate spade?)… Happy Thursday!
